Deborah Cody, Criminal Defence Solicitor

Deborah Cody BComm, PgDip in Law

Having qualified as a solicitor in 2007, Deborah has extensive experience in Circuit Criminal Court, Central Criminal Court and Special Criminal Court trials. She has also been the instructing solicitor in a number of Court of Appeal cases which have raised and clarified significant legal points.

Her ability to combine renowned attention to detail with vast legal knowledge allows her to advise clients of MKS to the highest professional standard, often in circumstances where the client is faced with a serious allegation of criminal conduct.

In addition to her busy caseload, Deborah completed an LLM with a focus on prison law in in 2019. Prior to working as a solicitor, she was a member of the National Executive of AIESEC in Ireland, an organisation which grounds itself on cultural awareness and understanding. She has also worked for and subsequently volunteered with the Irish Foster Care Association.
