Employment and Professional Discipline

Practice Areas

Employment

We advise employers and employees in contentious and non-contentious employment related issues. Our solicitors have acted in the Workplace Relations Commission to the High Court in obtaining the best possible result for our clients and offer practical and strategic advice on employment related litigation and on how to avoid litigation at all.

Practice Areas

Professional Discipline

We advise individuals subject to investigation or proceedings before their regulatory or disciplinary body. We also advise professional bodies, regulators and professional associations.

Practice Areas

Discrimination and Equality

Human Rights and Equality law lies at the core of Michael Kelleher Solicitors. It informs all of our work and is the foundation stone on which the practice is built.

We act for individuals and organisations in ensuring equality in recruitment and in the workplace. We challenge discrimination against individuals and assist organisations and companies in ensuring fair treatment of their staff and defending claims.

We have very recently reached a substantial High Court settlement for our client who was an employee in an international bank which discriminated against her on the basis of her gender.

Practice Areas

Employment Related Immigration

We advise on work related immigration matters from advising high net worth individuals seeking to relocate to Ireland to work permits to advising individuals on their immigration rights should their employment end.

Fees

We charge €250 plus VAT (at 23%) for your first consultation. This may be enough to reassure you as to your rights and your next steps or it may be the beginning of a longer and more involved process.

We will always seek to provide you with the most cost effective strategy and with good value for money. We will also seek to achieve the best financial result for you should that be the ultimate outcome of your case. We will not take a case in which we will not add value or where we cannot provide you with what you expect to achieve.

A solicitor may not, by law, calculate fees or other charges as a percentage or proportion of any award or settlement. We therefore charge on an hourly basis. In some cases, we will work for a set fee.
